94!Golf Packer Whackers Vie For Top In PCC GOLF Largo opened its season with a series of early wins to jump into second place in con- ference competition. Under the direction of Coach Bill Schroeder, Largo's Linksters were strong contenders for the conference crown, Only Dunedin had a better record entering the second half of the season. Iunior Bill Curtis led the field with his professional sounding scores, with Randy Seay, Benny Smithers, and Don Morelli close behind. Smithers and Ieff Hollis give Largo future hopes with both swingers having two more years on the squad. Under the direction of coach Richard Allen, the Baby Packers dropped 10 games by less than 10 points. Lynn Lane led the sophomore squad in scoring with several outstanding perform- ances, followed up by Larry Redding and Mike Lundeen. Lundeen also was the lead- ing rebounder. Iim Iohnson and Vic Fowler were both frequent starters throughout-the season. With many juniors coming back, all of the sophs will be trying out for spots left open on next year's varsity team. I.V.
