vaauvugm QOIWMU i Humanism Brightens Principal's Image Most people define a principal as an unemotional supervisor, always thinking of policy and never of people. Yet, as is the case in all definitive attempts, the person being defined suffers greatly. In such a definition, there is not any room for warmth, opti- mism, wit, or error. In short, there is no room left for being human. And every principal is human, espe- cially Gene Chizik. The demands of leading a high school require more of a man than the prerequisites of academic and administrative acumen. In a word they require fore- sight, humanism and emotion, characteristics which are needed to smoothly run a school of twenty-two hundred students. He must be able to foresee the needs of all those involved. A principal is a rare breed of animal, vegetable and mineral. Too often we forget that he is a husband, a father and a human being. He could probably be making more money elsewhere and could be lots hap- pier. Yet, for some reason, he's here now dedicating himself to you. Administrat1on!1'39

nvolvement Promoted By Administration ff'ig S . , il Q YS 5 t The Administration worked hard to promote a successful school year. Students were encour- aged to become involved in community activities as well as school activities. Members of the Administration could be seen strolling about the school talking with students . .. giving advice . . . keeping LHS running smoothly. These few but important people helped Largo through another great year. Administration!161
