PTA Shows Appreciation For Teachers The Future Teachers of America have done their share of work this year. They ushered the Back to School Nigh gave apples to teachers and set up a program for the American Education Week. The members have taught at th elementary schools and have aided here at L.H.S. Art Club Develops L.H.S. rt Talent A relatively new club, the Art Club, works to dis- play and to create their different ideas of art. Mrs. Burdett helps these students along the way with new ideas and techniques to show their abilities in art. The Art Club has gone to art shows and also paints the school windows decoratively at Christmas. This club gives interested students an additional aim to work for and an opportunity to enlarge their art expe- riences. Top Left: Art club does a skit on skit night. Future Homemakers of Amer- ica is a service club formed to give students an opportunity to use not only their homemaking ability, but their Willingness to get involved to serve the school and community. The faculty attended a Christmas social spon- sored by the FHA members. There they were served scrump- tous cookies and cake prepared by the members. With officers Margaret Bennett, Ian Ballew, Lu- Ann Klotz, Tracie jones and sponsor, Mrs. Dort, the FHA pro- vided a very successful sweet treat for faculty members. Future Homemakers of Am8PlCHfl29
