Deutscher Verein Has Wienerschnitzel A homecoming skit done in German and English, a successful car wash, a Wienerschnitzel Dinner at the Old Denmark and a Christmas party helped to promote leadership, charac- ter, self-discipline and responsibility in German'Club students. Learning the German language and culture is easy for students under the leadership of Mrs. D'Loughy. They also represented their club in basketball intramurals and played a hard fought game. Par- ticipating in the Fla. Association of Students of German at Eckerd College gives students the opportunity to rep- resent Largo. With all their activities, Deutscher Verein members found being involved promoted enthusiasm for the German language. Bottom Left: The German Club participates in skit night. 'N Largo's Modern Romans Study Latin ,:.,..A 1 Enjoyment from the study of Latin and appreciation of the language and customs of ancient Rome are the purposes of Gens Egregia. Led by Ieff Howdeshell as president and Mrs. Scovanner as sponsor, the Latin Club held an annual picnic and participated in Homecoming skit night. They also held a Christmas Box-dinner social. Art Club Develops L.H.S. rt Talent A relatively new club, the Art Club, works to dis- play and to create their different ideas of art. Mrs. Burdett helps these students along the way with new ideas and techniques to show their abilities in art. The Art Club has gone to art shows and also paints the school windows decoratively at Christmas. This club gives interested students an additional aim to work for and an opportunity to enlarge their art expe- riences. Top Left: Art club does a skit on skit night.
