DIXIE HOLLINS Although l.argo,s drives were stymied lay an alert Rebel defense, Randy McKean completed 9 passes for 122 yards. A 46-yard McKean pass was Largo,s longest gain of the night. Don Jones and Roger Vreeland made fine defensive plays, but the Rebels won another victory with a score of 25-O. Packers Come To Life With Over SEMINOLE Seminole quarterback George Garrett led the Warhawks to an early first quarter touchdown. After the crowning of Homecoming Queen Kathy McNamara, a third period paydirt pass from Randy McKean to George Steffens evened the score. This aroused fear of loss in the hearts of the War- hawks, but the following kickoff was returned for the winning touchdown. The score remained 13-7 in favor of Seminole before the queen, court, and a crowd of 4500 Homecoming fans.

ST. PETERSBURG The Packers were the first to score alter a 60-yard march from the opening kickoff. It brought fhe ball to the Devils' 5-yard line. Here it was taken over by fullback Gary Schrieber. Don Jones recovered a Devil fum- ble which charged the Packers on to a 65- yard drive in 18 plays. The rest of the night, however, was left to the Green Devils as they fleetfooted their way to a second PCC victory by a score of 27-12. Gridders' Season Starts As A Loss Coach Conover briefs the wel and tired gridders. Williams gives extra effort for Hairc and teammates. NORTHEAST The Vikings swam to a 14-0 vic- tory over Largo at rain-drenched Stew- art Field despite 218 yards in 29 car- ries by lialfllack Gary Haire. Many decisive five-yard blows were dealt to the Packers' defense by the 210 pound Viking fullback Richard Critz. Even though the team lost the game, the Packer fans stayed to the end cheering for them in the rain.
