The vocal music department started out the year short on numbers and with a new director. An early move to try to increase student participation was the organization of an after-school Girls' Chorus. This group made its first public appearance with the Girls' Choir at our Education Week Open House on Nov. 13. The Mixed Chorus sang for the Elk's Memorial Service on Dec. 7. The Girls' Choir sang for each of the Laramie service clubs when they met in our Activity Room. The high spot for our year was our spring concert and participation in the spring festival at Wheatland. Our ensembles and soloists appeared at numerous school and community functions. We hope that our efforts have helped to make this school year more pleasant for all of us through music. Queen Candidate Kay, Escort Wayne
