The Sunshine Society was designed to spread goodwill and cheer. Each year li the S.S.S.- gives a sizeable amount of money to the Riley Hospital for Chil- dren. Each member had a kit to sell to make money for the Riley fund. The S.S.S. also had a baked goods sale at the Halloween Carnival. The Good Cheer Committee made ubeanbag mice for handicapped children. The Activities Committee planned a Valentine's Day Dance, which provided for mid-vacation entertainment. Dorothy Blevins presented a style show in the spring. Mr. St. John, the leader of the future farm- ers takes a special interest in their many activities. This year the F.A.A. had a raffle of hams and turkeys to raise money for their organization. The students learn new and special farming techniques. Some students learn to identify insects and weeds that are harmful to the farm crops. Mr. St. John-teaches the students a lot of farming knowledge, but he also instills in them the pride of the farming occupation.
