Lapel High School offers a very wide selection of subjects in its academic curriculum. For the college - bound students there axe a variety of classes offered in preparaticp,f ? r advanced future education. Extensive courses in mathematics, English, and science plus three languages are only a few of these. For the business- minded there are courses in secretarial studies and practical business transactions. Home Economics, Vo¬ cational Agriculture, and shop provide valuable knowl¬ edge!,to young people who will someday have their own homes. Ehysidal education for both, boy|, and girls helps to keep the students physically as well as mentally fit. The many classes in music and art provide the gifted student with a chance to develop his Special talent. A new class now being offered in the ever-growing curriculum is Exploratory Teaching. Its purpose is to acquaint students wfffiPfne duties, responsibilities, and rewards of teaching and to help them decide if they would enfoy teaching as a career. These courses of study are only a§| art of Lapel High School, but they are a very important part. They serve the interests, abilities, needs, and desires of each stu¬ dent in the school. The knowledge gained from these courses is the foundation upon which the students will build their lives.
