Senior Class History As we approach the end of our four year iourney through Lapel High School, it is not with a feeling of regret that we look over our stay here, for we feel our work has been done to the best of our ability. When we first came together in- the fall of '46, we were pretty green and inexperienced freshmen, but we finally struggled through and came back the next year with the feeling that we were really in , As freshmen we were not too active as is to be expected. However, we started with fifty-two members, the largest class in the high school. When we came back as sophomores we lost no time. We started off with magazine sales, which we really pushed. We chose as our class colors black and white. When we returned as iuniors, we knew by then that we were the best class in the school. Our class play, Believe It or Not , was a great success, ticket sales exceeding even those of the mighty seniors. Our Prom was also a great success being held at Grandview Country Club with the sen- ior class and faculty as guests. As seniors, we have only continued what we began as iuniors. We had fun practicing, as well as giving, our class play Miss Jimmy . As privileged seniors, we greatly enioy- ed a trip by bus to Bloomington, where we attended the Pittsburgh-Indiana football game. We ended our senior ac- tivities by taking a trip to Chicago where we spent some very eventful days. As we look back, it seems each year has passed more quickly than the previous one, until as we recall them they seem but a day. Our class fellowship and teamwork has carried us suc- cessfully thus far and when we leave L. H. S. for the by ways of the world, the memories of our experiences here will give us strength and a greater courage for the life we are now entering. 14
