A time to honor . . . Gene Hepinstall who was born and raised in White Cloud, Michigan. After graduating from White Cloud High School, he attended Central Michigan University. His major study was industrial arts, and his minor was in mathematics and physical education, and after four years of study, he received a Bachelor of Science degree. While in college Mr. Hepinstall fell in love with and married his wife, Shirley. The Hepinstalls lived in Rose City for four years where Mr. Hepinstall was coach and shop teacher. For eleven years Mr. Hepinstall has taught industrial arts and has coached basketball and baseball teams at I apeer Senior High School. The Hepinstall family lives at 1230 Adams Street—Mom and Dad; Sam, 13; Jan, 10; Kathy, 8; and Toni, 5. If you notice Mr. Hepinstall at a game, you’ll not see him yelling at the team, or the refs, but sitting quietly on the front row bleachers chewing his gum. Through his coaching and his close association with us Mr. Gene Hepinstall has taught many of us some of the true values in life. For this reason we dedicate to him our book. 20 Dedication
