Lieutenant Maam, my most worthy assistant Dick Dykes and I are frightfully bored with just traveling around and around in outer space. Could you please give us official date on our old graduating class of 1958? This is Bentley-I have the information on file; stand by. Here it is. Judy Barkhouse, Collene Kilgren, and Sharon Rinn have formed a trio. Their latest hit is A White Space Ship and a Pink Constellation. Kay Johnson is starring in her own smellavision show. Smellavision is quite the rage here on earth. We've had reports that Kay wears the loveliest perfume (Essence of Venus, made by the Tom Weir Manufacturing Company). Her show is produced by Ken Dively, directed by Wilma Jean Evans and the scenery is designed by Bob Phelps. Elmore Gwinn has exchanged his southern drawl for a British accent so he could take Alfred Hitchcock's place on smellavision. Elmore had to gain a little weight for the part. Annette Stone and Ann Lynch are the top fashion models in the United States. They wear fabulous creations designed by Rexana Champney, Marion Upper, Terry Arnold, and Janet Iversen. Two of their most popular creations are the gravity neck sweater and the atomic league skirt. These creations, and many more, are sold exclusively at Feathering-Huntley stores (owned by Iva Featheringill and Joyce Hunt-ley). Gail Kingsbury and Karen Springsteen are having a jolly good time showing their prize-winning riding horses in London, England. Connie Beyer and Lydia Le-bedovych are also touring England. The Queen was just thrilled with their piano recital. Tom Cichoracki has perfected an alarm clock powered by sun rays. If the alarm doesn't wake you up it automatically plays a record by Screaming Jay Hawkins. Beverly Himebauch, Susanna McCoy, and Betty Boots (private secretaries) were the first to buy Tom's clock. 50 cfass fnophbcy Betty Harrison, Carolyn Fuller, Helen Geloge, Joyce Hill, Carmen Morey, Judy Potter, and Carolyn Reid have formed a dancing group called the Rollettes. They are appearing at the Blue Dragon (owned by Claudia King) in New York City. —Flash—I just received word by radar-type that Keith Hart has won the 64 million dollar question. He plans to invest some of his money in Skip Debeaubien's uranium mines. Astronomers Jerry Reno and Gordon Shapter have named a new star after their secretary, Nancy Smith, because she has devoted so much of her time to star gazing. Jack Deppong and Sharon Braley are developing a new breed of Yorkshire Hog that will survive on Mars. I understand Nancy Lou Fox, Susan Henderson, Barbara Bel kola, and Jane Morey enjoy teaching much more than the teachers of our day. They make recordings of the lessons for the students to play while they sleep. Of course, they have to give tests now and then but the tests are corrected by Derek Down's mechanical brain (Brain-a-reen-o). Senior High Principal Jerry Peterson and Junior High Principal Todd Batzloff also have a much easier job since they had television cameras installed in each class room. Missionaries Lynford Smith, Mary Nelson, Dorothy Bruman, Roberta Cliff, and Nancy Maslin are in Africa educating the Mau Mau tribe. Dr. Douglas Muir has sent up practice in Lapeer. I hear he's the rage of the rheumatism set. Tom McGregor is Lapeer's liveliest undertaker. His place of business is called McGregor's Bury 'Em and Bill 'Em Funeral Home. Richard Badgley, Robert Anderson, and Arthur Baldwin are lawyers. Duane Borck, Stanley Bruce, Clair Carey, and Keith Chamberlain are in the real estate business. Gerald Chown, Harry Delong, James Farley, and Norman Fermingham are used helicopter dealers. Bryan Larsen, lois Moore, Milton Hodgson, and Wayne Ostrander car working for the Bureau of Internal Revenue. That's all I have on file about them. Their jobs keep them far too.busy to give us an interview. Bob Bibber is the new Secretary of Agriculture. Ronald Duncan and Carl Pettit are working with Bob on project X (irrigating the dark side of the moon). 51 date fnopliftCy Happy housewives are Barbara Klutz, Nancy Boyce, Nance DeFelice, Betty Lilley, Katherine Geoit, Leona Nemeth, Joan Watson, and Beverly Horton. They're happy because Herb Maschke has invented a robot called Robert the Mechanical Man. Robert does all the housework and baby-sits too. Joan Sutherby, Yvonne Sutherby, Eleanor Weir, Nadine Williams enjoy being engaged so much that they keep postponing their weddings. The latest word is they are planning a quadruple wedding ceremony. Pilot Ed O'Donnell is scheduled to test the latest Jet Planet Strato-cruiser. The first woman air force pilot, Janet Schmidt (now Janet O'Donnell) will be Ed's copilot. Ex-Airline Stewardess Kathy Pickard and her husband have just bought an airline. Their motto is Around the World in Eighty Hours. Peggy Daniels and Janet Scram-lin are airline stewardesses for Kathy's airline. Governor Gerald Monroe, Ambassador Dan Miller, Representative Lloyd Phelps, and Senator Edwin Steward were in town for the weekend to see the new rocket launching post at the garden spot of Michigan, Hadley. Bruce Powers is in command of the new post. Ilene Haight, Sandra Mudry, Janet Link, and Janis Loomis are civilian workers there. Ken Seames, John Stone and Harry VonSteenburg are on Lapeer's police force. They are keeping things well in hand with the help of remote control patrol cars. Bob Cross controls the cars from the police station. Mary Johnson, Barbara Albrecht, Gladys Eden, Ruby McGeorge, and Judy Hile are proudly wearing the uniforms of WAC officers. Darlene Wagner owns the Elba Drive-in. Steve Rowden is head chef there. Wonder what's cooking. Carol Chisholm owns Peppy's Pizza Place, which is famous for putting anything from ice cream to pickled pigs feet on the pizza. Norman Psenski is head waiter (he takes his pay in large pizzas). So do waitresses Helen Owen, Irene Reamer, and Darlene Taylor. There are many new stores in Lapeer. Clark DeGroat owns DeGroat's Everyready Diaper Service. Jim Thayer owns the Little Shoe-maker Shoppe. Doug Springsteen owns a helicopter refueling station on top of Pickett's Record Shop (owned by D. J. Lonnie Pickett). Peggy Hiltz owns a beauty salon. Madam Sybil Russell is head beauty consultant there. Tom West and his band are recording for the Cathey Recording Company (owned by Jerry Cathey). Their latest LP recording is called Music to Steal HubCaps By (from the sound track of a new picture The Dedicated Delinquent , co-starring six rising young actors: Donald Tab Evans, Larry Rock Alt, Marilyn Za Za Rancour, Beverly Pier Petitt, Laurel Sal Painter, and Margaret Gina Farrell. cfictss fytOphe j Charlotte Beebe, Janice Rutheford, Betty Rutherford, Eunice Ihrke, Donna O'Connor, Judy Crawford, with the aid of their husbands, have won first prize on Charles Walker's quiz show Beat the Tick Tock. Their prize is a private cruise around the world and a lifetime supply of Munches (the rice cereal with a true barbecued flavor). Leland Clark, Eugene Parrish, and Bruce Hildreth (former Marlboro Men) are now modeling neck ties for The New Yorker. Sharon Kollhoff has added her own invention (an atomic power, non-skid ejection seat) to her car. (In case she has to leave in a hurry.) She made quite a profit selling her invention to Rick Hathaway, Dick Brons, and Doug Davis, automobile manufacturers. Coach Larry Coder and his pro-football stars. Bob Logan, Stan King, Bob Down-ey, Ed Conner, Tom Hubbell, Dallas Stoll, and Phil Esch, are in California, with the rest of the team, for a short vacation. Lapeer has contributed greatly to the field of nursing. Nurses from the class of 1958 are Kathy Clark, Sharon Bolton, Maxine Ballard, Judy Jostock, Irene Faust, and Carol Alexander. Currently racing on Lapeer's new raceway are those daring demons of the speedway, Robert Grieve, Keith Ball, Bob Bostick, and Gary Brown. Bob King has designed a car that out-does any foreign model. It has just enough room for two undernourished people. It runs at speeds up to 210 M. P. H. with a strong tail wind. Larry Seaman, Eugene Parrish, Victor Johnson, and Glenn Walker put up the capital for a factory to build Bob's car. Carol Dunsmore, Donna Walker, Pat Johnson, Larry Smith, and Carl Wangler work for the Rains Never Fear When Judy's Here Advertising Agency. Three of their biggest accounts are Mother Fletcher's Bubble Bath, the Perry Como Tranquilizer, and Humphrey's Stable Cleaner. As you know, Frank Hopkins, Doug Roberts, Gary Stroup, Norman Walts, and Lyle Yorks are working with us on the satellite program. That's all—over. This is Bill Greenlee. Glad to hear our class is doing well I I'd like to ask a special favor, Maam.- Could you add a few cans of dog food to the next supply ship? There's a dog up here been pestering us. Membership in any of these choirs is elective; any girl may sing in the Girls Chorus; any girl may sing in the Girls Glee Club or the Mixed Chorus by try-out; boys are placed in the Mixed Chorus, Twice a year these choirs present a concert, and as often as possible, they accept the invitations of clubs and other organizations to provide programs. The purpose of the groups is to give the student a chance to perform as much of his musical heritage as can be sung by a choral group, to learn the techniques necessary to its performance, and to perform it in public. Therefore, the music sung by any of the choirs might have been composed two hundred years ago or yesterday. The members of these choirs are a credit to their school both as individuals and as choir members. 106 Dxctnift Club FOURTH ROW: Bill Riedel, Jerry Bennington, Wayne Smith, Kenneth Hull, Mike Schenck, Dick Schadel.
