o NE nf the most important groups or organizations in our present complicated system of education and community life is the Board of Education. Giving much of their time, talent and thought free of charge, usually never given a thought by the average man, and often criticized and condemned, hut seldom praised, tfc-- this group acts as a compromiser between teacher, student and parent, as as a stabil-izor over our entire system of education. Their duty it is to sec that our schools are kept up to date and managed by efficient teachers; at the same time keeping expense with reasonable bounds so that the cost will not be too burdensome to the people. All of these things and more we feel that the Board of Education of our city has done in the fullest measure. Our present efficient and modern system of education has been due in no small way to this group of men. Made up of men from various walks of life, some of whom have been continuous members for nearly a quarter of a century, with broad vision and foresight, and with many different opinions they have always worked to produce the best results for school and community. Feeling sure that our educational system will always be under the guidance and control of such an efficient Board, we need not worry about the future.
