Junior Lorry Sanborn was one of rhe 6 returning veterans on rhe 14 member ream. He ployed board one and was the ream's top player. Lorry said This year should definitely be a good one for rhe Chess Club, and he had hopes of their placing first or second in their division! Those srudenrs who carried a D overage ond hod a cerroin number of orr credirs also belonged ro rhe Norionol Arr Honor Sociery. This was on honor ro oil rhose who were members and on exrro ochievemenr in orr. Lorer, when they become the Symphony Bond, they ployed some of the best music around. Per- haps you were one of those srudenrs saved from the horrors of sixth hour whenever they held on in-school concert. An often over-looked bond was Concert Bond. Highly disciplined and professional.
