Eagle Aerie 1975-1976 Lapeer East Senior High Lapeer, Michigan 4 Becoming BECOMING The river begins charting its unknown course, provoking bridges watering meadows, and falling from mountains; weaving through forests uncovering the earth ever moving, ever changing. a rocky slope and rapids. Water jumps into the aid dancing upon the sunbeams forming endless rainbows. The river changes, a branch is formed still the water churns cutting its golden paths forward, upstream the branch carries on alone growing and becoming an eternity, no longer a branch a river, carrying life, reflecting joy, drowning sorrows, ever moving ever changing. 2 REACHING People have dreams, Of rainbows and things. Reaching high to the sky. Goals that can be reached, Like the college degrees and families. Making people happy and making them cry. As trees reach up, And people are cl. Crossing over like passing grades, And somehow, somewhere, the goals are reached. 5 6 Touch Your Rainbow TOUCH YOUR RAINBOW I've got this rainbow in the back of my mind and it'll be there until the end of my time haunting me until I touch that rainbow of mine. My rainbow travels along with me we try to spread a little sunshine to all we see just remember as you go along to stop and take the time to teach others your song. Run to touch your rainbow catch it, take all it has to give for it'll teach you many a lesson of life, just take it and live it, touch your rainbow; The days go by and we grow old, but my rainbow and I will keep on going strong and bold there's a world out there for you to explore— so take your rainbow and go!
