JOSEPH CONN OLLY Class President President's Message Three years ago we entered Lansingburgh High School and bravely attempted to get a foothold in the whirlwind of activities which were taking place all about us. Sonic things we wanted came easily, others were achieved only after bitter struggle. Today we have attained our goal and will soon step out into a world which is passing through perhaps the most critical period of his- tory. Out of a world fighting to free itself from chaos we have man- aged to grasp and hold a few things which are near to us, one of which is our graduation. Ordinarily a high school graduation would be a coln- nion place event, but because of the difficult times and many sacrifices to be made we consider this something of a triumph, and it is with this attitude of Tomorrow, do thy worst, for I have lived today, that we leave our Alma Mater. Behind us, we the Class of 1942, leave our sincere appreciation to our teachers, our parents and to all those who have helped us in the slightest way to attain our education. J osEPH CONNOLLY
