The board meets in regular session once a month. In addition, there are many special sessions throughout the year. The board of education serves as the legislative body for the Lansing High School organ- ization. They consider and pass all policies, the budget, salaries, teachers contracts, condition of the grounds and buildings, and keep an accurate check on expenditures. Appraisal or final judgment of the administration is the responsibility of the board of education. The staff of the '57 Lion on behalfof the student body of L. H. S. say Thanks to the board of education for their efforts in providing us with the educational opportunities afforded the youth of this community, Lansing High School is a class A school and a member of the North Central Association, These are accomplishments the board, faculty, and principal of the La.nsing Rural High School are dedicated to maintain.
