This year, we have tried to make the Oracle more your book than ever before. Through the use of informal snapshots, we have tried to cover all types of classes, and show you how the classes, other than your own, function. By the same method, we have attempted to show the work of various clubs and societies in the school. In preparing this book, we have tried to do a good job of making a better book for a high school which is the best, and we hope that you will derive much enjoyment and satisfaction from your 1939 Oracle now and in the future. In gathering the material for this book, we have been aided greatly by various persons and groups. We are indebted to Miss Frazier and her Creative Writing class for the excellent write-ups in the faculty section. As in the past, Mr. Strait and the business staff have done a fine job in the transacting of business. Our thanks also go to Harold Petrowitz, who has done the photography for the book.
