FOREWORD In publishing this 1937 edition of The Oracle we hope that each one who receives one Will keep it throughout his life as a remembrance of the happy days spent at Central High School. As the theme for this edition we have chosen the Indian, who was the principal inhabitant of our State one hundred years ago. ' To those who follow, we leave the responsibility of upholding the high standards of this school as set by those who preceded us. We wish to thank you, Miss-Smith and your art classes for the valuable material that you have so willingly contributed to this book. To Mr. Crittenden and his Sophomore B English Classes we extend our appreciation for the splendid poems which they have composed for our division pages. Leo Federman is to be complimented on his work as Camera Editor, as you will see from his snapshots throughout the book.
