The main purpose of the Oracle Board in producing this Oracle of 1924 is that in the future years it may serve as a faithful reminder of the events connected with our four years of high school life. XVe hope that it contains entertaining bits of artistry and literature, for we have tried hard to attain them. It seems proper that some recognition be given here to the Art, English, and Typewriting departments for their aid in the production of this book. Through the Art department it has been possible to obtain a unified system of drawings throughout the book. Also they have helped us with the arrange- ment of snapshots, which indeed is always a diliicult task. The students gladly did this work in their art classes of their own accord, and without thinking merely of the prizes and honor that would be obtained from their work. VVe, the mem- bers of the Oracle Board, give hearty thanks to the art classes and especially Miss Smith for their help in making this a better Oracle. To the this book English department belongs the credit for the fine literary material in . This material is the result of the first semester's work, and was handed in by the teachers at the end of that semester. Thus it is the product of every-day class work and required no outside effort by the students. VVe cer- tainly appreciate the work of the students in the English department and of Miss Barber in making this a successful Oracle. Through the Typewriting department it has been possible to type all the work contained in this book. They cheerfully and efficiently did it. It is a great task to type all the material contained in the Oracle, and we greatly appreciate what the Typewriting department has done for us in the production of this edition of the Oracle. nyc Six
