Ofiicers were elected as follows: President-John Marchell Secretary-Leora Swayze Vice-President--Roger Hagin Treasurer-Luella McCarty Our money making prospects for the year consisted of two bake sales and two vie dances. Our Sophomore year brought us more activities than we had seen in our Fresh- man year. Cur money making projects consisted of a bake sale, a white elephant sale, five dances including a big Christmas dance, uChristmas Caperw, and selling name pins we made in the shop. Officers were elected as follows: President-John Marchell Secretary-Laura Malley Vice-President-J oe Trinkl Treasurer-Fannie McFeaters Our class advisor was Mr. Robert Macdonald. At the beginning of our Junior year We were all pleased to receive our class rings. So far this year we have had 3 dances. The Junior Prom is to be our big dance and will take place on May 17 with music furnished by Eddie Moore's Orchestra. Our big money making project for the year has been selling magazines. We set our goal at 3600 but we went way over that with a total of 376250. VV e had a contest between the boys and girls to see who could sell the most. The girls won, selling a total of 35582.25 while the boys sold 318025. Everyone did his best and we were all pleased with the results. Mary LaLonde won first prize for selling the most subscrip- tions, 311525, Barbara Davis was second, Leora Swayze third, and Margie Nedrow fourth. i 23 J l in in .

Mr. Macdonald Many problems confronted the Cayugan Staff at the beginning of the year. Be- cause the school day had been shortened to six periods all the work had to be done evenings and on Saturdays. Thursday night was NCayugan nightv and station Wagon trips often extended from Lansingville to North Lansing. Without the help of Dolor- es Zifchock driving Mr. Macdonaldis car in one direction with the school bus mak- ing an evening run in another, meetings would have been impossible. In spite of the handicaps the staff has enjoyed its work and while we eagerly await the arrival of the first copies from the printer We can truthfully say-Galt was Work, but it was FUN! V E231
