Memories of friends we have made, ecstasies we have lived, and unsullied ioys we have left, through the years form the pages of The Book of Life. Lest we forget, we pause from time to time and turn the pages of this Book to live again past thrills, remember friends, and recall pleasant associations. ,W 2 .., Frontispiece .... Foreword .... These years of ours have flown away, The time has come to part. We'lI miss you so, tho' the years go, Don't let us drift apart. Our friendships true, we made with you, And all the things we knew. The time has come to say good-bye. Into the world we go With memories we shared with you. But now we say adieu Dear Lansford High. Our Lansford High, We will remember you Where 'er we go, what 'er we do, Farewell dear Lansford High. lWords by Marion Foster and Joyce Ann Maureyl .4 5 f . f , 5,4 . -.f 11 1 , V, .. ag ,. nf -5. f ff .:'f,.?? - 1 ,1 T, My I- 4 1 gy i M If 5, , 'jf f.Qfav A, ,B , . fl 1 I amor-25 JUNIORS . x vs-.X SO PHOP'lORES FRESHMEN President ...... The act of depositing money in an interest account in this Bank gets to be a habit as time passes, and by pursuing the habit, financial strength, which is important, is acquired. Now is the time to open your account. .Ilembfr of FIQDIQRAL DEPOSIT lNSURANL'li CORPORATION CELEBRATING OUR 53nd YEAR IN BANKING W, T H E CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK LANSFORD, PA. .A ANTHONY DIGNAZIO AND VICTOR DVORSKY presidents of the D 8. D COAL RESEARCH LABORATORIES cordially invite the alumni of the class of 'l955 to be the first to witness their latest discovery Place: D 81 D Research Laboratories Time: June 3, i965 R.S.V.P.: Sally Pollock, Secretary D 8. D Research Lab. Lansford, Pa. The morning mail has lust been delivered by Lansford's leading mailman, Donald Romanek. Sally Pollock, head secretary, distributes the replies to the invitations among the other secretaries, namely, Frances Karnish, Anna Becker, Joyce Maurey, Irene Yuskanish, and Suzanne Pasha. Marion Foster, the firm's lab technician, walks in. She has iust received a letter from Jack Marshall, tackle for the Los Angeles Rams, stating that he and Admiral Michael Midas of the U.S.S. Arner, named after its brilliant young designer, Randy Arner, would arrive a few days earlier. Oh, look, exclaims Frances, Here's a letter from Charles Wernert who, despite a previous engagement with the Metropolitan Opera, will be here. And here, says Anna, is one from Bobby Mack. Sigh-h What a crooner! Don't you iust love his latest record. Baii-Haha. He and Joe Thomas, who is now playing at Lakewood, with his Firehouse Four 8. One, will be glad to furnish entertainment for a dance afterwards. Speaking of the dance, says Joyce, I got a new dress for it. lt's an O'Connell original. l'm so glad she is such a success in that field. Mine, lrene chimes in, is an exclusive by Shirley Fignar, who is now working in Paris with Betty Jacobs. They will arrive with their private secretary, Carol Perko, on time, thanks to iet pilot George Yantosik of the Mongi, McNelis Airlines. Those boys certainly could have used a couple iets to get to school on time. Here's one from Dr. Thomas Pollock and Mary Jane Holmes, his secretary, who will drive in from Split Rock with ski instructor David Spence and dieticians Rosemary Matta and Loretta Dafuime , Suzanne contributes. Girls, here's a letter from Bill Brennan, head football coach at Notre Dame. He and Michael Kerestes, the head coach of rival Michigan State, also accept, says Sally. Say, this is going to be some reunion, answers Marion. This important looking letter is from Congressman Stanley Ogozalek. He certainly is getting up in the world. Not only does he have Dolores Danshaw and Patsy Daniels, two of America's finest secretaries, but he also has been inter- viewed by James Hale, nationally famous television announcer for a special program of his own. Continued on Page 57 -. 55 - Consider All of Our Services A development company mines all the silver on its property, hut we may ignore deposits of gold and platinum. Similarly, a bank depositor uses one ofthe facilities of his hunk, hut ignores others that he would find fully as valuable. We invite you to consider all of the services facilities we offer: then use as many of them as you can advantageously. fl? COMPLETE BANKING FACILITIES SINCE 1899 Illember Federal Depmit Insurance Corporation ig? l THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK Continued from page 55 Speaking of Jimmy Hale, says Suzanne, Here's a letter saying, that he and his secretary, Elizabeth Brinkos, will arrive a few days previous to the reunion. They plan to interview all our class- mates who have become celebreties. The girls' conversation is interrupted at this point by Joseph Dubosky, office manager of the company. He brings a telegram from Louise Koller, famous engineer from Chicago. Louise writes that she will arrive in time for the reunion with .loseph Buinovsky and Jack Delong, photographers for Life Magazine, who have iust completed a feature on her works. After reading the next letter Frances announces, George Ferretti and Kenneth Swider, publishers of the New York Times, have found time in their busy schedule to attend. It seems as though everyone will be here, even Robert Kosica, Frank Gaborik, and Thomas Kosalko, stationed with the Marines in Germany. They write that Stanley has been very influential in obtaining special permission for them. The girls are still busy opening the letters and commenting on each one. Have you been down to Marion Kovach and Marie Fittos' newly remodeled beauty shoppe, yet? asks Joyce. When I was down in Palmerton last week, I stopped in to get my hair done. The place looks beautiful. They said that they're looking forward to seeing all their old classmates again. Anna, having iust finished reading a letter announces that Roy Penberth, owner of a boat club in Florida, and his capable assistant, Robert Lopata will arrive in their Cadillac, specially designed for them by Steve Stone, now chief engineer for that company. Gosh, Joyce puts in, I'd be satisfied with a plain ordinary Cadillac. But I think it's iust wonderful that Roy and Bob, like all the others of our class, are such successes. For instance George Skovran is now owner of a skating rink in Detroit. He and his skating star, Elizabeth Gallagher will be here also, says Suzanne. And here's an answer from Christine Kashner, nurse at King's Park Hospital. She'Il arrive a little late because she's on duty, adds Irene. Here's the letter l've been waiting for, exclaims Sally. lf's from Agnes Skrabak and Mary Ann Sroka, owners of that famous dance school in New York. They will be able to attend the reunion and will bring two of their star performers to entertain us. Just then Victor and Tony come in. They're anxious to know who has accepted the invitations. When told that everyone is coming, Tony says, Fine! It'II be iust like old times again. l've even asked Stanley to act as master of ceremonies during the dinner, so that he'll once again preside over a meeting of our class, iust as when he was Senior Class president. Everything's all ready now except the programs. Sally, see that Thomas Koltiska gets a copy so that he can run them up. I was talking to his secretaries, Kay Oxendale and Eleanor Hyla and they assured me that the programs would be done on time. l know that you're all excited by the forthcoming reunion, but there's work to be done girls, Victor says: and with this he and Tony leave, followed by the click-click of the girls' typewriters. .-57...
