1. 2 t . ', 1 F' l: :' i ln '4l our hopes were centered On high school which we now had entered. Verdant freshmen with pride and hopes Did not take long to learn the ropes, Our first term's work we like to mention: Sports, forensics, and detention. , ln other tasks we had a hand Cheerleading, orchestra, and the band. Too soon our freshmen days were through, Gay young sophomores in '42, For now our prowess had increased, To be the baby class we ceased. We want to keep the record clear About that long, long second year, Because we had some tests to pass Before we reached the iunior class. Stately juniors in '43 Who were as happy as can be, The only obstacles in our path Were Latin, Chemistry, English, Math. Our Junior Prom was a success, lt caused us pride, we must confess. As we danced and whirled about the floor, There was color, music, fun galore. C755 df '4-A-0. That year soon passed as years will do, Just one more and then we're through, Our happy, treasured school days gone! Time does not wait, it marches on. Now we're seniors old and wise Who've grown in knowledge and in size. The entire class with ioy and pride Follows Anchor, our chosen guide. Captain Andy and his team All are strictly on the beam, In every cheer we give our best, For we are sure they'll pass the test. This is the best of all four years, We work away-no time for tears. By former classes not outdone And too lwe hopel surpassed by none. We hate to bid a last good-bye, For we shall miss dear Lansford High, O'er each one's face a cloud doth pass As we must leave each lad and lass. At last the gates of life swing wide, Into the world we all now stride, But Alma Mater always vamps Her grads back to this school of champs -Dorothy O'Brien.
