Though small and light he's a good center and a hard tackler. He too is a iunior who ought to see much action next year. Right Guard-GEORGE SNISCAK tMungiel. Another big lineman, is a swell guard and an effective tackler, in other words-dynamite! Right Tackle-STEVE ORACKO tSunnyl is an outstanding tackle with an educated toe. He is the lad who completed many of the extra points. Right End-BILL PERBETSKY tChipl. Quiet but capable, and likes to play football. Here's a Junior with a promising future. Quarterback-PAUL ONDARCO tSpiderl. The forgotten man of the backfield, never has much to say but his action on the field speaks in volumes. Left Halfback-ROBERT DERBY tDubbyl. Aggressive, tleetfooted, and light, he is a real threat to any opposing team. He is a deadeye passer and likewise a good kicker. Right Halfback-EDWARD BOYLE tKoocherl. A hard running halfback, can run a block or snatch a pass anytime the play demands. Fullback-ANDREW LUKAC tAndyl. Strongest man on the team, is a plunging genius, deadly tackler, and efficient captain of the team. He has won all-state honorable mention for two years. THOMAS BARRETT lBetchkal is a flashy member of the backfield. He is one ot our peppy senior reseves. MIKE JASO tMikel is only a sophomore, but is the answer to any coach's prayer. Mike can play any position on the team and plays each one well. ROBERT MAROUCHAK tBobbyl is a Frosh and a letter man to boot. Bobby is a runner-up for powerhouse Lukac. JOHN BRENNAN tZippol. A dandy lineman, not so big, yet he strikes fear in the hearts of his opposing backfielders. JAMES GALLAGHER Uimmyl. The sands are fairly vibrating. lt's New York's million dollar theatre The Gal owned and operated by Jimmy Gallagher. His manager is Robert Griffith, a heart-breaker with his charm and grace of manner. An honored guest is Dr. John Breslin-the world famous orthodontist. The program features that beautiful blonde with her melodious accordian, Helen Hlavaty. An all girl orchestra led by Alfreda Zwolenik, stars Betty lmrishek, first trombonist and Miriam Smith, violin soloist. Look at that interesting scientific demonstration on iet propulsion flying. Lansford again! Postmaster Shannon with his assistant Henny Pavlik is talking with Dr. Bill Anilosky, the psychiatrist, and Dr. Lou Nesley, the famous veternarian. Frank Kanick and Theodore Horowski have opened an insurance office. They expect big business now that Helen Mormon and Marion Thomas have leased the old playground on Abbott Street for a parking place for helicopters. Earl Wenk is their chief mechanic. Mayor Ralph Miller and councilman Mike Macenka seem pleased with the proiect. With them is bank president, Joe Kupres. There too is Bill Bechtel, the editor of the Evening Record, with Paul Chernek, photographer. They are going to snap that helicopter iust landing. Who is the pilot? Mary Kasper! Her mechanic is Dorothy Stalma. Mary Pavlinchak, editor of the woman's page in the Record and Mary Polakovic, the society editor are interviewing Dot O'Brien, the head of a large advertising syndicate. Florence Miller owns that prosperous furniture store with Margaret Malik, her designer. They have iust received passes to the movies from Michael Steblar. He and Charles Moscoe own a chain of theatres. Mary Terry manages the collection of tickets. Across from the theatre is the Willing4Gabriel Paint and Paper Store. Betty and Emily do a flourishing business. Next door is Vanak's Jewelery Shop, Martha conducts the store with her assistant Florence Ringer and Sue Romanek, watch repairer. Can you hear the iazz? That comes from the unbreakable record shop of Joann Yanega and Eleanor Praskac. William Brimmer changes the records-Twenty-four hour service. There goes the Chief of Police, Joe Orach and his patrolman, Robert Swider. John Kuntz is the warden of the town iail, Frank Reese is fire-chief, and Francis Taptich and John Spack are in charge of the fire apparatus. Who is that woman who seems to be inspecting the town hall? lt's Betty Denby, the first woman elected to the town council. Francis Luksay the superintendent of a national chain of stores has come into the shop with George Swider, manager of the local branch, and Bernie lmrisek, head butcher in Luksay's stores. Patsy Roads, the president of the Water Company, is there too. They are leaving for the restaurant of Evanna Anderson and Ann Sassaman where Margaret Minyo is head waitress and Norman Hurnyak, chef. Joan Marsden is Dean in the Business College founded by Vincent Fortunato and Joseph Koshuta. She is extolling the virtues of the instructors, Mary Pestrock, Jean Lorah, Mary Mikulka, and Anna Gaborik. Robert Valent, the radio announcer, introduces weekly the school's program, featuring the famous comedian and typing expert, Robert Boyle. Emerging from a door way, A man all dressed in white, Took twenty steps toward me, I nearly died of fright. He grabbed me by the collar, And slung me in a chair, He put a chain around my neck, While pulling at my hair. He stuck a chisel in my mouth, And hacked, and cracked, and drilled, At last he said, Three dollars please, For all your teeth are filled. -Norman Shires.
