Boys working in the metalshop or yyoodshop learned to transfer ideas to scale plans xyhile future architects and engineers tenaciously untangled the intricacies of blue- printing. FREE ENTERPRISE . . manual Mastering industrial art skills is more than an educational requirement for most L-A boys. ln vvoodshop. metal shop and mechanical drawing. supervised by Mr. Clarence Priest and Mr. Joseph Pastelak. the young craftsmen transformed man- ual skills into relaxing. enjoy able creativeness and turned out useful. attractive articles for their homes and personal uses. The boys learned to take pride in their accomplishments. At the same time they gained first-hand knowledge ol' possible future trades or hobbies. Two woodshoppers nabbed awards in the Ford Crafts Contest this year.
