Membership in rganizatiol A lonely person is an unhappy person and one who consciously or unconsciously has a great many fears in lzlfe. Our school makes it possible for young people to get together, to cooperate and work harmoniously toward a desirable goal. Piloted by Adviser Louis Gershman, who t.his year received a special distinguished Citation award from President johnson of Temple University, this twosome has copped many awards both state and national. Petite and peppy Ruth Gortner busily directs the Hffcf? U , while Pat Alason, business mana- ger, keeps the record books clear of any delicits. The LAHIAN editorship will be awarded to a senior stall' member who in Air Gershman's opinion has contributed most towards making the yearbook a success. The publications department began the year with a hang by netting over one hundred dollars in its annually sponsored dance held a week aliter school started. Also, LAIIIAN boasts a greater number ol' subscriptions than it has ever had in its history. Rose Buccieri, feature editor, Alarian Bell, liourth page editorg Bill Bingham, sports editor, plus a stall, ol' thirty reporters assist Ruth in rolling oll' the Garnel and Cfffl-1f'.I' eight issues. The UH U stall had a wonderful time at a get-together in early February at St. Paul's l,utheran Church to discuss plans lor future publications.
