The Boys Basketball Team won l6 and lost 9 games th1S year They stood 4th 1n the conference standlngs In the lnv1tat1onal Tournament at Edlnburg Dec Z9 30 they were beat out and that Tourney was taken by Edmburg ln the County Tournament at Park Rwer January Z7 Z8 Z9 30 Lankm took th1rd place by defeat1ng Adams Flrst place was agaln taken by Ldmburg In the D1str1ct fClass Cl Tournament also held at Park RIVCI February 17 18 19 21 Lankm beat Manvel 1n the1r f1rst game and also won the1r second Wh1Ch took them to the champlonshlp game and there they played Fordv1lle and lost P1S6k took 3rd place and Forest Rlver, Consolatlon The g1rls won 2 and lost 6 games th1s season The1r Tournament was held at M1ch1gan February ll 12 13 14 15 They lost to Adams 1n the1r f1rst game The tournament was taken by G11by The Jun1or Basketball team has done very well th1s year by w1nn1ng four and losmg three games th1s season They attended an 1nv1tat1onal tournament 1n Edlnburg March 3 4 5, and the regular tournament ln Grafton March 16 17 18 The h1gh school cheerleaders th1s year were Elalne Ruzlcka Betty Th1s was Ela1ne's f1rst year Betty's second Glor1a's thlrd and E1S1e s fourth Our outf1ts conslsted of heavy whlte wool sweaters w1th a large L on the front and clrcular royal blue corduroy sklrts The .Tumor cheerleaders were Carmen Kalal Judy Moe Sandra Rose and Mary Madsen The1r ourflts were sat1n blouses and short sat1n sklrts of royal blue and Whlte Z8 Shereck, Gloria Machovsky and Elsie Sobolik. . . . . . . ,
