Class I-I1story The class of '53 began 1t's search for knowledge ln 1941 The or1g1nal members 1n the flrst grade were Dorothy Trenda Joan Herda Virgil Helt W1l11am Kratochvil W1l11am Kalal Elsie Sobolik Shirley Brusk1 Roger Gullickson Norman Gerstner and Delores Grefsrud In our 2nd year Curtis Sobolik Joined us In our 3rd year Roger moved to another school and in the 4th year Shirley Norman and B111 left us Beverly H1mley and Anne Hodny Jolned us the next year and Delores and Curt1s left James Gustafson Joined us and Beverly and Anne left in the oth year sick and left us In the fall of '49 we as green Freshmen were Jo1ned by W1nslow Helt That year we numbered SIX The b1g thing of course was initiation V were the central attractlon on Ma1n Street that day In our Sophomore year the later part Beverly Hunley once again Joined us and ID the Junior year we had June and Joyce Jarus also But now 1n our Senior year we are once more down to six members June Joyce and Winslow are golng to another school Our Senlor year has been especially busy with the class play school paper carnival Sklp day the annual graduation and many other th1ngs 12. , , . . , . . . , 1 3 9 S . . . , In our 8th we had Marjorie Soukup with us for awhile but she took . . . . . .Ve H . . . 9 I I . . , . i ' 5 - 7 9 '
