Future Teachers of America Under the leadership of sponsors, Mrs. Jean McMillan and Mrs. Grace Mortimer, the F.T.A. was involved in various activities the past year. The Lanier chapter was in charge of registration at the state convention held in Austin in February. One of the duties of the club was to run the Viking Bookshop. The store moved from the English department to the student activity center in order to better serve the students and teachers. In addition to the bookshop, the club made tapes for the special education classes. In all, the F.T.A. was very successful in every project they undertook.
