THE LEADERS Born in the backwoods, deprived of formal education, Abraham Lincoln was one of our country's greatest leaders. He will always be remembered for his tireless endeavors to maintain our country's unity. IN BATTLE General Ulyeses S. Grant General Robert E. Lee While they were cadets together at West Point, Lee and Grant never anticipated the forthcoming crisis which would force them to take opposite sides on the battlefield.
