FACULTY MR. W. E. GLAZNER Assistant Principal Mr. Gl'azner received his degree at the University of Alabama. After he had taught school in Cherokee, St. Clair, De Kalb, and Shelby Counties, Lanier was fortunate in getting Mr. Glazner as a mathematics teacher and assistant principal. Mr. Glazner will always be a favorite at Lanier because he always enters all his work with a smile for everyone. MRS. CLIFF HARPER Dean of Girls Mrs. Cliff Harper, our Dean of Girls, went to Montevallo and Vanderbilt Colleges. After teaching at Cherokee County High School, Mrs. Harper came to Lanier to teach English. Mrs. Harper left Lanier during the war years, but returned in 1950 to be- come our Dean of Girls. With this big duty, Mrs. Harper handles many miscellaneous jobs. She has been a big help to all the students as an advisor, someone the students can go to with their problems, however large or small. FACULTY The ORACLE wishes to pay a tribute to the teachers of Lanier, who have done so much to make Lanier the fine school that it is. MR. L. W. DOUGLAS Principal Lanier is very lucky to have at its head, Mr. L. W. Douglas, who has done much to keep Lanier one of the best schools in the country. After at- tending Birmingham Southern, Colum- bia University, University of Chicago, he taught at Vinemont, Verbena, and Baldwin Junior High School. In our memories of Lanier, our principal holds a very special place because he has been a capable and understanding advisor, with a sense of humor. [ 10 ]
