II SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Catherine Smith vice president Miss Taylor sponsor Mac Smith president Coach Bradshaw sponsor Rosemarie Still secretary Now that we are graduating from Lanier we feel a tinge of regret as we leave the school the teachers friends and acquaintances that we have grown to love yet we are filled with the expectation and mystery that the future holds for us after we graduate Wh n we first entered Lanier as sophomores we were awed at the size of the building and won dered if we would ever be at home in the halls of Lanier. By our lunior year we began to adjust to our Alma Mater and we wanted to show the pride we had for our school in our work and service to her. Now as seniors we realize the value of an education at Lanier. Goodbye Lanier. The class of 54 will never forget you. The Band is the official Blue and Gray Band. The concert band which gives a concert in the spring, has consistently been awarded First Division Rating at all state band contests. Majorettes for our band are selected for their ability to twirl, march, and execute the maneuvers de- manded of the drill and marching band. It is desirable but not absolutely necessary that they play a band instrument. New members to fill vacancies forthe following year are selected and trained early in the second semester. Their aim is to add to the pep and interest of the band on all occasions of public appearance, especially in parades and at football games. BAND OFFICERS LEON BAILEY . ..,. ....,,........ ..,..
