CLARENCE AVINGER, 210 pounds, full- back, Junior-Clarence played some fine de- fensive and offensive ball for the Poets. Avinger had a glorious fighting spirit even when defeat seemed inevitable. Avinger is a Junior letterman. HUEY MARSHALL, guard, Senior-Huey made his letter this year in football. At his guard position he saw plenty of action and met it exceedingly well. Since Huey is a Senior, he will not be with the Lanier squad next year. DEWEY RENFROE, quarterback, Junior- He has been outstanding for Lanier all year.
