We cvfcquire the 'Tools F A pupil is asked what school means to him he will answer, Heck, school means classes, and classes mean workf Even though his answer conveys utter horedom, we know he is not entirely misunderstood by his elders-nor are any of us. ln cur hearts, school is still a high adventure of our lives. We appre- ciate the tools which we acquire daily in the routine of class-work. Through contacts with teachers and students we learn to cooperate and work in a group. When we accept responsi- bility through our student committees, we experience the practical workings of democracy, and begin to value good citizenship. Vocational training and guidance prepare us for future jobs in many fields. Through a maze of triangles, irregular mferhs, Cicerofs Orations and Carlyle's Essay, we acquire the greatest tool of all-the key that opens the door of knowledge. We learn that through self-discipline and hard work we may acquirf any skill we particularly covet. The key has turned in the lock: the door is flung wide: twinkling lights from our World of Dreams beckon us onward!
