,ff ,I- fmwf' UHACLE of '44 THE STUDENTS 0F SIIITET IANIIIII Illlill SUIIHIIL 0556006 Beauty appeals to everyone-some are attracted by the simple beauties of nature, others are drawn by the dignified beauty of old buildings all are attracted by the clear fresh beauty of youth Strange as it may seem our boys and men are fighting now for the right to preserve Beauty they are wading through muck and mire killing and being killed in order to keep our American way of life Surely there is nothing more beautiful than the noble sacrifices that have been made and that are being made in order that beauty of spirit and nobility of soul may be preserved in future generations Let us then dedicate ourselves as well as this 1944 Oracle to Beauty in all its phases but above all to Beauty through nobility of spirit Let us ever keep in our hearts these immortal words Beautv is truth truth Beauty ,ffl no Q3 I I I I I I I I I I I I I ' Il ' ll . - , , .
