A CLASS POEM Class poems aren't easy to write , Because the things you're writing about are over As years of looking forward, become one moment of remembering . . Lockers crammed full of books and papers, With the ones you need always on bottom. The carefree life where one laughed in the face of danger, But was never late for band practice. The lunchroom, where you furiously did forgotten homework. The classroom, where you wished you had eaten lunch instead. Chemistry, where two and two don't always equal four. Genetics, where one and one make three . Math, there is life after Trig! Freshmen, who got lost even after asking directions And class poets, who can't find proper words to say Good-bye.
