Donald Smith and Antoniette Thomas who are singing the praises of their newly invented Semi-Automatic Dirt-Dobber. Arguing profusely with them are Steven Foster. Mac Eiland, Gwen Walton, and Jerry Watson co-inventors of the Nobel Peace Prize winning Super-Sonic Cheese Slicer. while Annie Boyer, Wanda Crowe, and Brenda Stubbs are praising their Patented High-fly Chicken Dab. Several accomplished song writers our class has produced are also with us tonight. Dwight Kimbrel has written RIDING ON A SWAN'S BACK DOWN THE ALLEGHENY, and is now singing it to Denise O'Callaghan author of WHO IS THAT LOCKED IN MY REFRIGERATOR? The writer of LOVE 'EM AND LEAVE 'EM Jerry Stamps is explaining the meaning of his work to Thomas Woodard who has written. I'M A TRUCK DRIVING. LUMBERJACKING KIND OF GUY, while Carolyn Gladney is getting ready to sing her hit DONT MAKE LOVE BY THE GARDEN GATE, LOVE IS BLIND BUT THE NEIGHBORS AINT. Now in a more sophisticated vein we see opera stars Denise Sims, Donna Rhodes, Bill Roy and Michele Blank who are now singing with the Sammy Ware Singers being backed by the Gary Harris Symphony Orchestra which includes: Karen Delaine, Loretta Croome, and Beverly Carr playing first, second, and third crutch; Toni Hill, Debbie Boyd, and Mary Ann Simonetti playing assorted pots and pans; and playing the stereophonic f lute-a-phones are Melanie Johnaon, Helen Roemer, Patricia Stiles, and Carol Shoults. We nearly forgot to mention Rose Ann Clifton. Evelyn Rhone, and Linda Smith who are playing the ever popular rubber foam dyna-moes. This orchestra is unique in that it has several majorettes. These include Carol Burns, Janice Cobb, Nanette Irby, and Marilyn Rhodes. Traveling with this famous group is the renowned dancing combo of Kay Howard and Sara Monte with their helpers Claudia Clark. Lillian Lewis. Linda Hunter and Willie Foster who are known as the Tempting Tappers. Many of our classmates hsve gone on to the world of television and are with us tonight. Several of these are doing commercials for large companies now. Some of these are: Desi Michael Davis who are doing ads for Converse Basketball Shoes; Nathaniel Mitchell and Earnest Coleman who work for Afro-Sheen; Cathy Rachmeler and Charles Kleiser who are promoting the tall-up cereal, Kelloggs Corn Flakes; and Anna Jean DeFrank and Debbie Rodgers selling U-Glob It eye make up. Sandy Sellers is selling sea shells by the sea shore and Deborah Jones and Doretha Moore are doing layouts for Midnight Burstall Perfume. Else where on television, Charles Davidson and Jerry Keith for Wooma-Wooma Shave Cream; Rita Timmerman, Beverly Edwards, Teresa Lambert, Olivia Perkins, and Sharon Gray selling Aretha's Reconditioned Tree Houses; Dorothy Jackson, Doris Johnson and Patricia Boakle promoting Rococo's Renovated Ring Wrappers, and Barbara Martin, Joe Tortorici, and Mary Black selling Clifton's patented Patch and Throw. Jan Hogelin, Marcic Nagle. 8nd Yvonne Dunnerham, counselors; Mike Hobson. Spanish professor; Paula Kiker, Home-Ec. teacher; John Murray. Physics teacher; Wendell Carr. Speech instructor; Napoleon Hunt. World History professor; and Paula Williams, Deborah Burroughs, and Brenda Dudley, English teachers. Standing there with a monkey wrench we see Thomas Passmore, an auto-mechanics instructor, talking to assistants Freddy Lawley, Lovell Kennard. Virgil Thompson, and Edmond Brown. Looking around wc see many of our old friends who have gone into business. Some of these include: Donnie Green, landlord of a local all-night slum; Mike Moore, manager of a local pest-control in Bessemer; Eugene Cochran, PepsiCola distributer; Paul Terrell, manager of a Tree Climbing Spa; David Barnes and Robert Hunter, co-owners of a Poodle Parlor; and Mark Shope, manager of Foodtown who is talking to some of his sack boys, Randy Tindle, George Penning ton. Neal Shamblin. Eugene McGee, and Steve Shew. Other include: Cleo, Jerry, and Delois Yarbrough who are the proprietors of a Grit Farm; Mary Rose, Barbara, ond Jolene Wright who are now employed as Chimney Sweeps at the Danny Haynes Tin Shop; Kenny Oglesby who is now the new owner of Long-Lewis; Kenneth Glover. Benny Jones, Tommy Bland, Freddio Bell and Fredrick King who are currently employed at the Charles Clem-Larry Johnson Septic Tank Cleaning Service; Brenda Griffin. Regina Cherry and Barbara Hanna who are employed at the Joe Griffin Dunk n Dine;” and David Phillips, Ricky Jordan and David Vines who are professional Canoeists. Standing in the corner we see Biff Wyatt, who runs the local Honda Shop, tolking to steeple jacks Randy Foster. William Burns and Curtis Broom. Swimming in the fountain we see Beth Dennis and Billy Jack Logan who are co-curators of the Jimmy Morgan Zoo. whose main attraction is the Dreaded Chippawawa River Valley Long Pronged, Drawfed Wing Reduwa Bird. We also have many alumni in the field of Arts Sciences. There are many authors in this group such as Janet Hall whose best seller is THE SAGA OF THE UPTURNED NOSE, Randy Hayes who has just finished his book. BATHTUB SURFING MADE EASY, co-authors Richard Guyton and Dave Keyes whose literary masterpiece is AN OBSERVATION OF CRUEL AND SADISTIC BEATINGS, and the authors of SINGING IN THE TUB. Amy Hamrick and Rosie Pearl Kennedy. Also there are Veronda Wilson and Annie Thomas co-authors of DOWN THE COLORADO ON HUBCAPS. Mary Morey Mooro and Sharon Moore who have written THE POLITICAL PHILOSOPHIES OF WANDA JACKSON, and Carla Shaw and Charlotte Gory authors of SPINACH. FOOD OF KINGS. The class of 71 has also produced many inventors who are with us tonight. In one corner we see Revaple Thomas and Debra Johnson demonstrating their latest invention. The Twin-lock Bean Kisser. Debra Thompson, Annie Hatter, and Shirley Wesson are currently selling the Mary Margaret Simonetti Weight Belt and last but not least we hear that Janice Perry and Diane King are trying to promote the Tereas Anderson Blubonic Plague Protection Mask. A few of our old friends have reached the ranks of stardom and now have their own shows. Johnny Russell is starring in The Fred Astair Melody Hour, Jesse Reeves, Jimmy Roberts, and Cris Rigdon in The Wonderful World of Wanda Stone. Sandra Smith. Vanessa Morris and Sherry Hamner in 'The Patti Fisher Grotesque Show. and Patricia Smith, Ed Trammel. Lois Thomas, and Barbara Eldridgo in 'The Jan Stivender Yo-Yo Derby. Judy O'Berry, Sharon Hendon. Richard Randle and Mike Hill have gained special fame in their show 'The Life and Loves of Ruth Harris. As we look around we notice the absence of several of our friends. Pat Blue. Key Bradley and Alan Rhea are hunting demented elves in the Forest of the Unknown; while Billy Thrasher, Doris Mims, Joe Parsons and Rosa Lee Hunter are on a scientific expedition studying the migrating habits of the near extinct Zulu fly. David Parsons. Mike Morgan, and Cynthia Perkins are busy stomping bugs at the Plaza Hotel, while Wayne Morgan, Karen Nicholson, Gloria Hayes and Elaine Kelley are currently political prisoners of King Mohair III of Bosnia. Judy Hinton. Margaret Banks. Steve Pike, and Linda Scott are sitting on top of the Pentagon's flagpole protesting the imprisonment of Linda Rodgers, Fawn Fuller, and Harry Crusoe for selling carbines to the Seminoles. Also not attending are Brenda Hall, Brenda Harris. Sharon Williams, and Mike Martin who were coming with Libby Law ley and Lexie Smith who were attached by a giant swarm of locusts on th8ir way to the dedication. One of our former classmates has brought to our attention that many of our old friends are currently in the Wide World of Sports. Mike Lawley and David Brazil are on Channel 42 wrestling every Saturday night as Don McCool referees this match. Janice Cooper, Pam Nabors, and Brenda Walton are playing women's softball for the Bonneville Blue Danubes while Joe Wallin. Harold Alexander, Dan Lon and Steve Casey are playing baseball for the Westchester Squid-tongues. Viva Sue Willoughby, Brenda Harris. Vicki Sheffield, Gail Hand. Dorothy Holderfield, Janice Lewis. Mary Teresa McGee, and Denise Clark are playing croquet for the Jonesboro Mallets. Barbara Davis. Lynn Oglesby. Pam Sims and Janet Lawley are on the Professional Hollering Team, the Tupelo Tongues. As we look up we notice swinging from the backboard is that brilliant forward of the Hartsville Big Blue, David Zauchin. A final group of dignitaries have just arrived. This group is engaged in many diversified occupations. Leading the group is Shelly Mittermaier who is carrying the scripts of ten patriotic programs which have all been presented by the Alpha in the past.
