In the clear pool of my thinking A distant drummer's calling time Beating, Onward; onward; never tarry; Keep in step, don't miss the ferry Though, death stares you in the face. Love and life are waiting for you With their warm arms all embracing. You must move forward to the call And stand back up when you would fall. So catch the boat and take the risk. Make the most of every gift. And through life's trials and life's romance. Just ask God's help to keep your stance. CLASS POEM For Time moves forward, never backward. And we must follow his example And march onward, onward, and never tarry. Keep in step - don't miss the ferry. Though Death states you in the face. Class Poet, Deborah Jones 208

Many of us thought we had figured out all of the teachers' weaknesses by now and felt as though we carried the entire world upon our shoulders. But even with this confidence, it was still hard to realize that we would soon be Seniors. This would be an entirely new experience for us. as it has always been for Seniors. However. Fate had a surprise for us. Not only would we be Seniors, but we would be the Seniors of a shiny new high school. Jess Lanier High School CLASS HISTORY r brought us more new classmates with whom we could share the memories of Senior rings. Senior pictures. Class Day, and finally Graduation. Yes, we have experienced many happy and sad times together. These experiences have made us stronger. Many of us have gained new friends whose friendship will last down the years to come. We now begin to understand the truth of Shakespears' words, 'To love that well which we must leave ere long. Class Historian y AVOskusvLL. Beth Sewell 709
