U H WSAGFS 6 This group assists the other organizations in the high school by passing out programs and placing their guests at the evening programs. The Modern Scholars Club is best-known for its giving of an annual one-hundred dollar scholarship In addition this organization also attempts to develop better students and, thereby, better citizens by discussing topics that are of importance in the development of all.

'E fyrgg 545 l , l 1 1 This year Langston students were afforded a new privilege, radio announcing. Charles Wade, Mary Jenkins, Anita Woody, Philip Stamps, Frances Wilson and Charles Yarborough, were some of the first to be heard on Teen Topics every Friday after- noon on WBTM. The Veterans Club, a newly organized club at Langston is made up of former stu- dents of Langston who have retumed to complete their education, after serving in the Armed Forces. THE SCHOOL EXCHANGE The school exchange is operated by students under a faculty super- visor. The exchange provides an oppor- tunity for commercial students to gain practical experience in business techniques. 111

The Social Studies Club is composed of students from all four curricula. Those students exhibiting an interest in Social Science are accepted as members in this newly organized club. President, Mamie Andersong Vice President, Tommie Lee: Secretary, Ollie Brandon, Treasurer Barbara Davis. The F. B. L. A, Association is a statewide organi- zation, designed for high school and college students taking Commer- cial subjects. This organization ac- cepts students with good attendance, ambition, and a favorable attitude toward the school functions.
