'ex l i Y The Langlois School Band, comprised of thi tv one pie es and direct ed by charlie Jensen, includesthe following student larinets Barbara Phillips Shirley Phillips, Judy Tensen, Madelyn Johnson, Dorothy higle Rosalie Turner, inda Steddom, Marcia Barrett and Mary Shoop sornets Wilbur Jensen, Gerald Phillips, Rav Miller, David Bolce, Jean horris, .arilyn Shoop, Lila Tucker Bud Brown and Jerry aughell Horns Glenda Holycross, Doris Brinkman, Judy Dolce and Ronald Byrd Trombones Gary Steddom, Jim Nelson and Robert 'ouch Baritone David Barklow Saxaphones Bobby Jean Sypher and charleen lurner Bass Ronald couch Drums Mary Donaldson and dal Strain Glockenspiel Margaret Fain In addition to playing for ball games, Christmas programs, and var ious other community affairs, the band now attends the southwestern Ore gon Band Festival and Clinic for two days each spring The festival is held in various Coos County cities and the clinics are conducted by spec ialists from the better colleges or larger cities This year the brass clinic will be conducted by John Richard of Lewis and Clark College, Port land The reed clinic by Robert Vagner, University of Oregon, and the percussion clinic bv Joe Amato, Portland, world famous drummer Two of the Langlois band members, David Barklow and Wilbur Jensen will play in the All State Band Concert held in Portland at the civic Auditorium, March 17th Recordings will be made of this concert and will be available to the schools Our annual Spring Concert is reld during nNat1onal Music Weekn and is given in conjunction with the Port Orford School band We hope to have band uniforms by next year. 5 G A 331 64' 4:53-gg?-g., H F V 5-5. 5 ., S ., ' I ,J K I , ' !
