Like a small stone in a mosaic, each of us has held his own measure of importance in creating a completed picture of Langley High School. We have earned both praise and criticism under the challenging pressures of academic life. Striving for excellence, we have met success with pride and failure with grace. New faces have come into focus, and old friendships have been magnified. We have conformed and, at times rebelled, in the struggle for acceptance; and in the end, we have matured. Each individual has added to the character of the Saxon portrait. Shire is presented as a portrayal of the year ' s activities. Each of us has contribut ed to its entirety. Hopefully, each printed page will revive a memory and each picture a moment.
