V, 62226 It is with pleasure that we dedicate this year's FALCON to our star, Mrs. Lu Callawqr. Mrs. Callaway came to us in the fall of l9h6. Louisiana lost a wonderful teacher, woman, and friend when Mrs. Callaway journeyed to The Pacific Northwest and settled on the southernmost part of Whidbey Island. She has studied hard and long to be a good teacher. Her advanced training was taken at the University of Whshington where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. A few of her teaching assignments have included the combined classes of fourth and fifth grades, seventh grade, eighth grade Eng- lish, all girls' physical education classes and an all school counsel- lor. In addition to all her school activities she finds time to help anyone in distress. She could also be called the school nurse, for her knowledge of first aid keeps her busy. An example of the love she has for the students is her ability to bring one small sandwich and never find time to eat it. Even during lunch hours she is npesteredn by the students, but she doesn't see to mind. She is the sponsor of GLA and Grade School Recreational Activi- ties. Almost all her time is spent, if not with the students, think- ing and worrying for and about them. To you, M s. Callaway, in view of all your help and love for the students, we respectfully dedicate this l9Sh FALCON.
