Class Histor When we entered L B C rn September of 1954 our class hxstory began The frrst day was one that we wrll never forget In sprte of bemg a lrttle frrghtened uc xt crt a proud and happy group of students Lrttle drd we know that mn 1960 our class would be the largest class to have ever graduated from L B C It was xx ondtrful to be Juntor lugh students at last Mrs Bolderson and Mrs Bates rntroduced us to nouns, pronouns, adjectxves, adverbs, and our Alma Mater Mrs Kelly prepared us for a rebattle of the Clvll War, and Mr Mallory finally convmced us that two and two are four Mxss Hutto and Mr Parrxsh kept us rn good physlcal condrtlon Alter a wonderful summer vaeatron, we agaxn entered th doorways of school th1s tame as ezghth graders Mrs Shearouse, Mr Caver, Mrs Froghmgham, Mrss Wxse, and Mrs Wxllrams vacclnated us wxth a shot of CLll1C3l1OU that sent us on our way The following year we entered L B C as freshmen our fxrst year rn hrgh school To prepare us for years to come, we were placed ln the hands of our patrent and helpful teachers, Mrs Anderson, Mrs Setzer, Mrs Lmn, Mr Mclntosh, Mrs McKellar Mrs Margaret Watson, Mrs Mary Watson, and Mrs Wxthers In our Sophomore year ue began to take more mterest rn our school acttvrtxes We started to take up class dues rn preparatxon for our Semor Class Trrp to Washmgton Thls year we presented our class play entltled 'My Little Oscar Our teachers, Mrs Anderson, M155 Montgomery, M 1 ss Taylor, M ISS M C L2 od MISS Parham, Mr Meadows, and Mlss Wlse had the tedlous task of poundmg some lcnowledge 1nto our heads Our JUIIIOI' year brought HDXICQ and determmatlon Tlus year we had the l'ESPOl'l5lbllll5l of the juntor Senlor Banquet and It was more fun than we had an trcrpated We sold magazxnes and presented the play Thty Gave Hun a Coed ' Those who made the Beta Club had a wonderful txme at the conventron 1n Columbia, S C Our teachers this year were Mrs L3Wl'llT1Ol'E Mr McConnell, Mrs Montgomery, Mr W1ll1S, Mr Meadows, Mrs Anderson, Miss Wilson, Mrss Taylor, and MISS Wlse At last the most awaxted year ofyears has 3lTlV8d In September of 1959 we entered L B C as Seruors The greatest dream of t.hose students who entered m 1954 has become relrty We d1dn't feel any dxfferent as semors than we dzd when we were seventh graders Our fa1thful teachers, Mrs Bates, Mrs Anderson, Mr Wlll1S Mrs W1lson Mrs lawnmore Mrs George, Mlss Taylor Mr Baker and Mrss Wrlson led us through the promlsmg years ahead We are deeply apprecratrve to our class sponsor Mr Wxlhs, who has helped us over the rough spots rn our semor year and the prevrous years To all of our teacherswe owe a vote of thanks for the many wonderful thmgs they have done for us Though me leave xn sorrow, all the joys we've lmown we can face tomorrow knowxng xx 'll never walk alone WAN DA SANDERS l-llstorlan 106 o .. . , . . , .. . , - V V , . . . . . .
