Underway, they are on call twenty-four hours a day to troubleshoot, localize, and correct any problems occurring in the ship's extensive array of electronic equipment. The electronic techni- cians are also responsible for intradivisional training in the fields of operational proce- dure, maintenance techniques, and electrical safety. Electronic warfare technicians are also a part of OE. They specialize in the operation and maintenance of the electronic warfare equipment, assisting the operations specialists and electronics technicians when necessary.
