The Blue and the Gold scored first on a three yard romp by John Metzger in the second quarter. Our last tally came in the last quarter by a long heave from Allan Keyer and a marvelous catch by end Sam Partlow. Both attempts for extra points failed. Two Mick tacklers converge on the as yet untouched ball carrier. Sam Partlow is abruptly brought down after making first down yardage for the Laneri Eleven.

The Micks defensive wall takes form as the offensive play starts. determined pursuer moves in from the rear LANERI 18 HANDLEY 32 Handley justified its status as dis- trict favorites, beating a determined Laneri team. The Micks gave the Greyhounds an unpredictedly dang- erous challenge throughout the hard fought game. Highlights of the game were the touchdown runs of Tom Marrs and Frank Gordoa. Marrs receiving passes from Allan Keyer ran two of them, 45 and 50 yards for six-pointers. Gordoa's score was an intercepted pass return of 95 yards.

John Metgzer ns downed by a Waco Cougar whale Dan Nolan leads Interference LANERI 34 MUENSTER 6 Allan Keyer found the range on four touchdown passes to engineer the Micks to a rousing victory over Sacred Heart. Frank Gordoa scored on two passes of 46 and 58 yards and a 15 yard run. Al hit Sam Partlow for the other two tallies of 11 and 19 yards.
