Maintenance and operation ot stage equipment is the main job, but the dynamic members of the stage crew also manage to take excellent care of our schooI's public address system, play the na- tional anthem each day, and announce foot- ball games, besides many other important services, Mr. Hansen sponsors this busy or- ganization, and Louis Blatnick is chief. Another equally vital service group is the USHERS CLUB, Taking tickets, handing out programs, and regulating traffic at school affairs are but a tew of the services they execute so efficiently, Their greaftest task comes in regulating the June graduation in the stadium. PEACEFUL ATMOSPHERE of our library provides pleasant setting for studying Library ls Center Of Studies One of the busiest rooms in the Lane Tech High School is the LIBRARY. Over nine hun- dred boys circulate through this room every day searching for references, biographies, or just a good book to read over the weekend. To help these boys the library has five librar- ians, under the guidance of Miss Schumacher, and nearly seventy library helpers, about eight each period. These bays do a great service to cur students and faculty by making sure that all books are in their correct places and that they are easy to reach. Due to the tasks that these boys and our skilled librarians fulfill, our library is easily rated the most popular room in the school. is LANE'S HUGE LIBRARY is efficiently run by Miss Schumacher, head librarian,
