PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE My Fellow Classmates: Four years ago Lane opened her doors to you, and you became a part of the traditions and ideals of this fine school. Now you are leaving and others will take your place. Lane will miss you- Yet in o very real sense you will still be here. The things you have done, both in the classrooms and on the athletic field, will never be forgotten. No door has been closed to you, no opportunity denied you by the facuky, whose reaching and guidance have been an inspiration to all. I know that you will go far. In this changing world you will all have new and undreamed of difficulties to overcome, but wherever you are, whatever you do, I hope that the bit of Lane which has become a part of you will enable you to face the situation cheerfully, courageously, and intelligently, to meet and greet your fellow men fairly and wisely. In closing, I would like to thank you, my classmates, for selecting me as class president, and to thank the class officers and committee chairmen for their fine co-operation during the various class functions.
