THOMAS WOJTKIEWICZ Vice-President Tam has taken a very active part in sports these last years at Lane, and in doing so he has gained the deep friendship of all his class- mates as the close running of the class elect- ions has shown, Tom is a veteran of three years on he football team for which he has been awarded two letters. Besides this he ran junior track and has been a member of the l.ettermen's Club and president of the Grid- der's Hi-Y. Tam, who was born on October l, l932, at- tended the Agassiz grammar school, His plans are a little uncertain, but he hopes to go to college after graduation. I JOSEPH FONTANA Secretary Everbody knows Lit'l Jae Fontana. Al- through he did not come to Lane until his sec- ond year, having first attended Senn High, he has made quite a name for himself on the di- amond. Joe has played first-string ball ever since starting high school, earning a letter ev- ery year. ln '48 he held down second on Percy Moore's City Championship team and now in his senior year he is captain ofthe Pillsockers. Jae's activities have included the Letter- men's Club, Key Club, Honor Society, Hall- guards and the Latin Club. Jae was born on the tenth of May, l932.

Hljllimake a team here or elsel ' Then wiwen he ehtered the third year, he finally made a team and was e- lected captain. The teaK1n?. . .Cheerleaders' Aside from this Bob bedonged to various clubs including the Cherokee Hi-Y, Dance Club, Pan-American, and was secretary of the Cam- era Club. He also was a member of the Daily staff for four semesters. Bob was born on June 15, 1932. After graduation he intends to go to college. l SAM DE JOHN Sergeant-At-Arms Born on Chicago's West side on November 9, 1932, Sam first attended King School. Af! ter his family moved to the Northwest side, he transfered to the William E. Dever school, where he was selected as the outstanding boy graduate by the American Legion. Upon grad- uating from grammar school, Sam enrolled at Lane where he became editor-in-chief of the Daily and a contributing editor to the Tech Prep. He was also president of the Pan-Amer- icon Club, a member of the Quill and Scroll, and a letterman of the wrestling team.
