GETTING a new slant on life. THE LEVER is demonstrated by Becker. ln his age of satellites and rockets, there are also some flying objects powered by guided muscles, namely the Lane Gymnastics Team. This sport consists ot exercises on various pieces of apparatus, and points are given in competition for ability to do the exercise as well as grace in executicn. The Lane crew led in its first day of practice on March 22nd, The oarsmen this year have their work cut out for them. Only a few ot last year's lettermen are returning, therefore the new men are faced with the task of retaining the Central States Rowing Championship, which was won by the '57 team. It these young men succeed in keeping the crown, they will likely follow in the steps of last season's crew and participate in the national competition at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, held in Ontario, Canada. According to the coach, the possibility of a winning boat is progressing.
