LEARNING techniques and fine points of welding is the fare of Welding Shop students. With furnaces blasting, incandescent iron comes spewing forth into the sand-filled flask. From another metal working shop comes the ringing of steel on the red-hot pieces held tightly in the tongs. Sweat-covered arms swing the hammers rhythmically down on the anvils. ln still another shop, sparks fly as two pieces of iron are welded together. These shops prepare the students for more advanced study in the metal working field. CHECKING the progress of the arc furnace is the job of Dishman. POURlNG OPERATION is managed by Tripoli.
