6fll5S History Early in the fall of 1960, thirteen green freshmen started to Lane High School to obtain an education. These green freshmen were: Jim Wylie, Loretta Alexander, Mike Kuder, Lois Dalton, Peggy Baucom, Fred DeMoss, Mary Beets, Ron Weatherbie, Bill Wheeler, Sally Willey, Dennis Harkins, Henry Harkins, and Sharon Oram. Melvin Schulz transferred from Rantoul during the year. Mrs. Welborn was our sponsor. Starting our sophomore year we gained Danny Timblin from Parker. Bertha Timblin also joined our class at this time. Later we lost Danny Timblin. Our sponsor was Miss Marr. At the starting of our junior year, there were eighteen members in the class of '64, Fred DeMoss left us during the summer, but we gained Mary Jones, Chester Leach, Eddie Schulz, and Fred Turley from Rantoul. Our sponsors were Mr. True and Mr. Gaddis. We pre- sented our junior play Take Your Medicine with the help of our sponsors and Mrs. Wilhite. Beginning the 1963- 1964 school term there were twenty two seniors. Connie Hase, Bonnie Hase, and Kay Vining, from Richmond High School joined our class. We welcomed Pat Ball, Peggy Ball, and Linda Milward from Princeton, formerly from Rantoul, to our group. We lost Jim Wylie to the class of '65, Mary Jones and Mary Beets left us for matrimony. Our class sponsors were Miss Finley and Mr. Laird, both of whom have helped us greatly in the production of our annual. 4 8 8' Ii 8
